Deposit of Divine Nature

As believers, we should open ourselves up to God’s desire to deposit His divine nature into our lives. It is His will for our lives to be totally consumed with his nature.  2 Peter 1:3-4 declares:

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 2 Peter 1:4

Being His child, we should manifest unselfish character, unconditional love, joy unspeakable, a peace that passes understanding, supernatural power, well-being, vitality, creativity, divine wisdom, keen understanding, supreme knowledge, and perceptive insight.  This list goes on and on becoming truly incomprehensible!

I love great technology.  Like most men, I enjoy a great size television, great sounding surround sound, modern technological phones, and devices.  I like to open the door for ladies, make sure all elderly are respected, and place people above all things.

These same attributes are the same attributes I desire to see in my children.  I desire to see my kids have the same enjoyment of the thing I enjoy.  I also want them to have the same characteristics as I have as well.   I believe as God’s children He desires for us His children to carry on His likes and characteristics – His divine nature.

His nature should be something we strive often to obtain.  It should be something we desire.  Until people see Jesus in us in how we walk, talk, and move, we should strive until His nature fills every part of our lives. It is His desire!

In addition, the more we grow in His nature, the less we tend to walk in the sinful desires.  It is an automatic impulse to walk in the flesh.  Walking in the flesh is our automatic default yet when we get into his precious and very great promises (which is the Word of God), we are unable to stump the growth.  His Word is the anecdote for nasty thinking and fleshly living.

Determine your spiritual ATM is going to receive God’s deposit of His divine nature.  It is your’s for the taking and you don’t have to do anything but receive it, accept it, and run with it.  It is for you! Run with His nature now!
