Go On Ahead and Boldly Walk In

Beloved, you are a child of God.  Your heavenly Father is the Creator of the Universe. Grasp that. He who created the universe also formed you together in your mother’s womb.  God is your Father, your daddy, and your King and you, beloved are royalty.

There is a unique behavioral dynamic going on in our office.  There is three of us – me, my son, Jacob, who leads and directs our kids ministries, and my worship leader/associate pastor.  To access my office, there is a code. Each of them knows it.  My wife knows it and all my kids know it. To even access our offices, you have to know a different code.  My kids know that code as well.

Whenever my associate pastor comes to my office, she knocks.  I acknowledge and she hits the code and enters.  Jacob, on the other hand never, ever knocks.  He boldly enters the code and walks in. Yet, when he enters our associate pastor’s office, he knocks.  She acknowledges and he punches in her door code and enters.

The reason he does that for her office is because Jacob is not her son. They are co-workers serving together. The reason he enters boldly into my office is because he is my son. In fact, everyone who knows the code or visits my office always respectfully knocks except my children.  Not one of my children knocks. They always walk in and 90 percent of the time it is because they need something and they are never, ever shy about asking for anything.

Hebrews 4:16 declares, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”  The writer of Hebrews knew a secret and it was the ability we have as children of God to walk boldly into the throne of grace.  When we face God, we can obtain mercy and grace and whatever we are facing, there is help in the time of our need.

The code to enter the throne room is our right in our relationship as children of the most High God. We have immediate access to Daddy God. Whatever we are facing, He is more than able to solve. He created everything. He knows how everyone and everything works!

Our access gives us authority. My kids never have to justify why they are in my office.  Everyone knows they are in there by the simple act of them being my children.  Everyone else will get questioned.  My children are never questioned as they sit in my office chair, lounge on my couch, or easily using my electrical outlets to charge their devices.  Their relationship allows them 100% complete access.

You have the same access to your heavenly Father.  As a child of God, begin today taking advantage of the aproach you have to your Daddy God.  Whatever your are facing, you have the right and the authority to enter.  Sit on Daddy’s lap, lean on the everlasting arm, and let Daddy God know what you need from him today.
