Wednesday’s Word from the Wise

Pastor Russ Taylor serves leaders and pastors in their roles today as a counselor, advisor and confidant from his years of experience in ministry, pastoring and missions work. I have asked Pastor Russ Taylor to provide wisdom for these times we are facing.

“Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”

Patsy and I are heeding the “stay home” directive [strongly seconded by our daughters]. We are ten to fifteen years north of the age that has been labeled as elderly. No kids at home. No job to be concerned about. Afternoon naps. We are living the American dream, how be it, in slow motion.

High on our list of priorities (just below social distancing and the washing of hands) is staying in touch with family and friends. Social media is truly a gift. Texting, video chats, and FB are great. We are even on Marco Polo!

We are grateful for the many friends who have checked on us. Your love and kindness means the world. You have asked if we need anything. No, today we are okay, but tomorrow we may be calling on you. Thank you for caring.

Attention, all! See the marvels of GOD! He plants flowers and trees all over the earth, Bans war from pole to pole, breaks all the weapons across his knee. “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.” Psalm 46:8-10 MSG
