If You Only Knew How Much. . .

And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” Matthew 3:17

The above verse is a familiar verse. Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist and as He was coming up from the water, God shared His approval, love, affection, and affirmation to Jesus, his first born son.

It is important to note God the Father’s affirmation to Jesus was before he did one thing for the Kingdom.

It was before He did any ministry.

It was before He raised anyone who was dead.

It was before He healed anyone sick.

It was before He expanded the Kingdom with souls saved.

God showed His Fatherly love to Jesus because Jesus was simply His son. Jesus had not performed any of his duties asked of God before this. Jesus was simply a son; God’s son. And God wanted man to know how much He loved His son for the ages by declaring aloud so others could hear and never forget His declaration of His love. A love which is written down for the ages in His Word.

Beloved, God loves you. He loves you simply because you are His daughter or son. God can not love you any more than He does right now. It is totally and completely unconditional. You do not have to work hard for it. You do not have to earn it. You do not have to be better nor more obedient nor worse. He loves you no matter what.

You are His favorite.

You are His beloved.

You are His’.

You are a child of the Most High God. You are loved unconditionally.

Do not do one more thing for God’s love beginning today except abiding and living in His love.
